On January 24, 2023, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 session will begin. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already released the admit card for the exam that will be held on Jan’24. The JEE Main official website i.e., jeemain.nta.nic.in, is where applicants who will be taking the exam should keep a watch out for any more developments.

Guidelines for the exam day:

The National Testing Agency has even published guidelines for the JEE Main 2023 exam (NTA). Before showing up for the examination, candidates must read the instructions.

  • Only those applicants who follow the timetable will be permitted to enter and exit the JEE Main 2023 exam centre.
  • Any talk, commotion, or gesture made while the JEE Main 2023 exam is taking place would be viewed as inappropriate behavior. If a candidate is discovered utilizing any of these unethical tactics, their candidature will be withdrawn.
  • The examination centre requires all applicants to arrive early for inspection if they are wearing any particular clothing for religious reasons.
  • Candidates taking the exam must have their NTA JEE Main admit card 2023, which must be legibly printed on A4-sized paper. The following documents must also be brought: a self-declaration form, undertaking, or proforma printed on an A4 size sheet, a PwD certificate, if necessary; a simple transparent ballpoint pen; a valid photo ID proof; a copy of the same photo used in the application form to paste on the attendance sheet; and, if necessary, documents pertaining to scribes.
  • In the JEE examination room, you will be given a pen or pencil and blank paper for rough work. On top of their sheet, applicants must write their names and roll numbers. Prior to leaving the exam room, this sheet will be returned to the invigilator.
  • After showing their JEE Main Hall Ticket 2023 and rough sheet to the invigilator, candidates must place them in the box.
  • Transparent water bottle, mask, gloves, personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), sugar tablets/whole fruits for candidates with diabetes, and other items will also be allowed within the examination room.

DO’s and Don’ts for the JEE Main Exam 2023

The JEE Main lays down some rules and regulations for the candidates appearing for the exam. We have displayed the do’s and don’ts in the table below:

1. Do reach the examination centre before the start of the exam. Don’t carry any extra or unnecessary baggage.
2. Do carry your admit card, and you must also bring an additional photograph to paste into the attendance sheet. Don’t carry electronic devices like a calculator, electronic watch/ smartwatch, or mobile phone.
3. Do check if the system functions properly. Don’t solve the questions in a hurry.
4. Do check if the credentials in the attendance sheet are correct. Don’t rush to leave the examination hall, wait for the invigilators’ instruction.
5. Do maintain social distance and carry your own sanitiser. Don’t get nervous if the question paper is hard, try and solve as much as possible.
6. Do carry your own geometry box if appearing for paper 2. Don’t carry eatable items inside the examination hall.
